What is Salvation ?

Since Jesus Christ is and was God, He was not limited to his physical body at any time. He stood on the banks of Jordan and “saw” Nathanial sitting under a fig tree 35 miles away. Nathanial fell on his face and confessed Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of God when he was told this (knowing Jesus had never left the banks of Jordan).
In Mark 16:18-19, Jesus, having given his disciples the Great Commission, began to ascend right up off the surface of the earth and out of sight into the heavens. (Also in Acts 1:1-12).
BUT in verse 20, it says that the disciples went everywhere preaching the word and the LORD went with them, performing miracles of healing to prove their words were true (or to prove that He, the Lord, approved of their doctrine).
How could Jesus go with each of the disciples as they went everywhere preaching the word? THE same way he could say, WHEREVER two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in their midst.
1 Corinthians 15:45- 47. The first man Adam was made a living soul, but the last Adam (Jesus Christ) was made life-giving Spirit.

The two terms-Holy Ghost and Spirit of Jesus-were used as synonyms in Acts 16:6-7.

Ephesians 4:10. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18.
Jesus said I will not leave you comfortless, I will come unto you. John 16:7; 14:18.

Jesus chose 12 men and taught them for over three years. Then he commanded them to wait at Jerusalem for the Promise of the Father (also called the Baptism of Jesus with the Holy Ghost as evidenced by speaking in unknown languages).

THEN in Acts 2:33, Jesus poured out the Gift of the Holy Ghost on 120 of his followers and baptized their souls or inner beings with the Holy Ghost and they all spoke in languages unknown to themselves but known to the listening crowd.

The 11 (+1) apostles preached the first New Testament gospel to that crowd in Jerusalem that day. The listeners were convicted of their sins and asked the apostles, “Men and bretheren, what must we do to be saved?”

THE ANSWER was the FIRST SALVATION solution ever offered by heaven for forgiveness of sins and the new birth.

THE ANSWER CAME from all 11, but Peter was quoted: "Here is what you must do to be saved from your sins:"

REPENT (meaning to get out of the sin business, turn away from all your sins)

AND BE BAPTIZED in water (total immersion) into the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you also shall receive the

GIFT of the Holy Ghost for the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are afar off, even to as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Peace and Eternal Life - GOD'S PLAN
God loves you and wants you to experience His peace and eternal life. The BIBLE says..."For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Separation - MAN'S PROBLEM Being at peace with God is not automatic because you by nature are separated from God. The BIBLE says... "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

The Cross - GOD'S REMEDY
God's love bridges the gap of separation between God and you. When Jesus Christ died on the Cross and rose from the grave, He paid the penalty for your sins. The BIBLE says... "He personally carried the load of our sins in his own body when he died on the cross..." 1 Peter 2:24

Receive Christ - MAN'S RESPONSE
You cross the bridge into God's family when you receive Christ by personal invitation. The BIBLE says... "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name..." John 1:12

What must you do to be saved ?

BELIEVE: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mark 16:16).

RECEIVE: "He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe in his name" (John 1:11-12).

ACKNOWLEDGE: (YOUR SIN) "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). "God be merciful to me a sinner" (Luke 18:13).

REPENT: (OF YOUR SIN) "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3). "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out" (Acts 3:19).

CONFESS: (YOUR SIN) "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).

FORSAKE: (YOUR SIN) "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the Lord...for he will abundantly pardon" (Isaiah 55:7).

SINNERS PRAYER:

Dear Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I believe that You died for my sins. Right now I repent by turning away from sin, and open the door of my heart and life to You. I receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. I believe with my heart, and proclaim by my mouth that You are the Son of God and You are my Lord. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, I will serve you all the days of my life. Help me to live for You.

If you have prayed to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior earnestly, and have asked God to give you the Holy Spirit who will become your comforter, please let us know.
