Truth or Lies ?

THE SOUL

The battlefield between the Spirit
of God and the demonic spirits is being fought in the area of your soul, that is, your mind, will, and emotions.

It is here that you face your daily decisions of Spirit-controlled living or sin-influenced living.

Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so” Romans 8:5-7

2 Corinthians 11:14,
"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."
It is important to understand how the enemy works, so that we can equip ourselves to stand against his schemes.

Paul says that they were not ignorant of Satan's devices. This is something many in the church today cannot claim.

2 Corinthians 2:11,
"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

When you choose to give in to evil thoughts that pressure you into temptation, rather than resist them like the scriptures says. 2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Then you open up a foothold for demonic influence in your life.

The bible warns, “He who keeps on sinning is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work” 1 John 3:8

Taking Ground from Satan. Spiritual warfare is the battle for truth.
God is truth (John 14:6).
Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44).
Jesus builds His Church and Kingdom on the ground of truth
(Matthew 16:13-19).
Men are saved as they believe and obey the truth
(John 8:32; 1 Timothy 2:4).
When men obey the truth, they turn to God; when they reject the truth, they come under the power of Satan (Colossians 1:13).
Satan builds his strongholds on the ground of lies (Genesis 3:1-6; John 8:44; John 10:10; 2 Corinthians 10:5)
Where people believe and live the truth, Jesus builds His kingdom; Where they believe and live a lie, Satan builds his strongholds.
Spiritual warfare is won when men turn from the lies of Satan to the truths of God. The goal of all spiritual warfare is to tear down the strongholds of Satan by establishing the truths of God's Word in place of the lies of the devil (2 Corinthians 10:3-6).
