What We Believe

Frequently people ask about our doctrinal position of things.  Our goal is not to foster a certain church’s doctrines or man made rules.  We simply follow Christ’s command, “my doctrine is not mine, but Him that sent me.”

(A) The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally and written inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed, and therefore are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete and divine revelation of God to man.

 (B)  The Godhead

We believe in one  God, eternally existing in three persons namely the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost , each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. God is one:
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

(C)  The Person and Work of Christ

(1)  We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, the sacrificial lamb of God, the Name of God, He became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.

(2) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and, that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.

(3) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of God. the right hand of God is not a physical position but a position of power and authority. Christ is the power of God and authority as our High Priest. He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate.

(D)  The Person and Work of the Holy Ghost

We believe the Holy Ghost convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and, that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption.
We believe that He is the Divine Teacher who assists believers to understand and appropriate the Scriptures and that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled and baptized with the Spirit as evidenced outwardly with power, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowal of spiritual gifts to every believer. God uniquely uses Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers to equip believers in the assembly, in order that they can do the work of the ministry.

(E)  The Total Depravity of Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam's sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and, that man is totally depraved, and of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.

(F)  Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins.
We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God's word which however, clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to the flesh.

 (G)  The Church

We believe that the local church, which is the body of the espoused bride of Christ, is solely made up of born-again persons. We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures.
We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control.
We recognize water baptism and communion as the scriptural ordinances of obedience for the Church in this age.

(H)  Separation

We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; and, that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly sinful pleasures, practices, and associations is commanded of God.

(I)  The  “blessed hope”(Rapture) of the church

We believe in that “blessed hope”(Rapture) the imminent return of Christ in the clouds to rapture His Church. Preparation for this event is more important than the disposition and time-line arguments.

(J)  The Eternal Statement

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment.

We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and present with the Lord, where in conscious bliss they await the first resurrection when spirit, soul, and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord.

We believe that the souls of unbelievers remain after death in conscious punishment and torment until the second resurrection when with soul and body reunited they shall appear at the great white throne Judgment. And shall be cast into the Lake of fire, not to be annihilated, but to suffer everlasting conscious punishment and torment.

(K) The Personality of Satan

We believe that Satan is the author of sin, and the cause of the fall of man; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man and, that he shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire. Until then, we have been given power and authority in the name of Jesus to destroy his works and to set captives free in Jesus name.

(L) Creation

We believe that God created the universe.  We reject evolution, the gap theory, the day-age theory, theistic Evolution and other ungodly and satanic theories that deny the only way. The  Creator is Jesus. He is the word described in John Chapter 1, and He alone created everything. We deny all other theories as unscriptural theories of origin, and we will not waste time debating with fools who have refused to accept truth, and are only interested in senseless arguments, strife and untruthful fables.

(M)  Human Sexuality

We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity should be engaged in outside of marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God's gift of sex, and those who indulge in these will burn in everlasting fires of hell unless they repent.

(N) Abortion

We believe that human life begins at conception.  The unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified and unexcused taking of unborn human life. Abortion is murder. And we reject any teaching  or theory that abortions of pregnancies due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, population control, or the mental well-being of the mother are acceptable. God decides who dies and who doesn't. Doctors who  perform abortions are murderers with blood stained hands and must repent.

(O) Giving

We believe that every Christian, as a steward of that portion of God's wealth entrusted to him, is obligated to support his/her local church financially when able. We believe that God did establish the tithe under the law, but in the new testament the tithe was replaced with general  giving.  Therefore, every Christian should  give offerings willingly, sacrificially and cheerfully.  Not under obligation, or manipulated to give. But each person willingly and cheerfully gives to support the Church. The work of Christ, the relief of those in need, and the spreading of the Gospel.

 (P) Holiness

We believe Holiness is commanded in the Word and it is God’s standard of living for His people.  We believe that those saved should live a separate  set apart life from the world.  Holiness is a standard to be raised above all else and to conduct ourselves in such a manner that everyone around can tell us apart.

(Q) Holy Ghost

We believe in Speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.  We believe that this is instructed in the Word of God and is a free gift. Just as salvation awaiting any believer that wishes to accept it.  We believe that the Holy Ghost was given to us after Jesus was resurrected from the tomb on the third day.  It was given to be our guide when we don’t know what to do, and when we don’t know what to pray!

We believe that speaking in tongues is a prayer language given by the Holy Ghost so that when we don’t understand what to pray, God uses us as a vessel of honor.  We believe all believer’s have the Holy Ghost as resident. But not all have the baptism of the Holy Ghost. However all can be baptized with the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues and we pray for those that desire to speak in a new language.

(R) Divine Healing

We believe that divine healing is offered to all who believe and is given to all in the atonement.  We believe that divine healing and faith go hand in hand.  In the Word of God Jesus would state, “Your FAITH has made you whole.” Faithlessness and unbelief has made many to trust in medicine, doctors more than they trust in God. We support the doctors and appreciate the work that they do. But we should go to God first when sick James 5:14. God can use doctors. But we must trust Jesus to heal because he is always the first option- not the doctors.

(S) Baptism

We believe that Baptism by full immersion is the only way given by Scripture for water baptism.  Your body must go completely under the water. Which is an outward act that signifies what happens within, i.e. you are taking off the old man and putting on the new.  It’s the literal death, burial and resurrection of Christ.  When he died, our sins died with Him. He was buried and resurrected. And this means that our new man is clean of all sin. Those who get baptized must be bord again prior to baptism. We don't baptize sinners. First you repent and then you are baptized. Those who are baptized must walk in holiness. We don't baptize babies. Babies must be dedicated to Christ. But they only get baptized when they come to the age of accountability and are born again.
